Laurent French Match Strike in Robin's Egg Blue
This unique match strike (or pyregene in French!) is a reproduction of those found in cafés in late 19th and early 20th century France. At that time, it was common to see a match striker sitting on a bistro table or bar. The strikers served three purposes. First, the top cylindrical container was used to hold matches. Secondly, the ribbed surface on its side (or base) was used to strike and ignite the match.
